Development of innovative plan designs from a simple safe harbor defined contribution plan to the more complex combination defined benefit-defined contribution arrangements with new comparability provisions;
Comprehensive review of retirement programs and administrative processes to promote efficiency and effectiveness of programs;
Compliance audits to identify any operational failures eligible for self-correction;
Annual testing to demonstrate compliance with the non-discrimination, minimum coverage and minimum participation rules as they apply to qualified plans;
Annual testing to demonstrate compliance with the top-heavy rules, benefit and contribution limitations and deductibility of contributions;
Perform benefit calculations to satisfy minimum distribution requirements;
Support to attorneys in filing for correction under IRS and DOL voluntary compliance correction programs and favorable determination letter filings for initial plan qualification and plan termination;
Provide assistance to attorneys in performing due diligence in conjunction with mergers and acquisitions;
Assist clients in preparing for IRS and DOL audits and work with the appropriate parties to ensure favorable resolution on behalf of clients;
Preparation of administrative manuals for clients to document administrative procedures and processes of daily plan administration;
Respond to technical questions regarding the day to day administration of retirement plans;
Annual valuation process including trust reconciliation and preparation of annual reporting forms;
Perform non-discrimination testing for health and welfare plans.
